Hate loading iMessage to send texts and free messages to other Apple devices? ImmediateSend is a tweak that allows you to skip the clutter and instead reply to messages from anywhere. See a message on your lockscreen? Instead of going to iMessage, Immediate send allows to you reply to that message instantly and will mark that message as read.
You can also send messages directly from the Notification Center, banners and alerts, or contacts, depending on your settings. If you find iMessages to be unreliable–say the person you’re messaging loses internet connection often–you can choose to send the message as a text instead. ImmediateSend will actually detect whether the person you’re texting is logged into iMessage before giving you the option, so you won’t be waiting for a message that never sends. ImmediateSend costs $0.99 and is available in the BigBoss repository on Cydia.
ImmediateSend’s direct competition is a tweak called BiteSMS, which not only allows for “quick compose” and “quick reply”, but also includes other features like auto-forward, scheduled messages, contact pictures, and a cleaner interface. Unlike ImmediateSend, BiteSMS supports the iPad and iPod Touch in addition to the iPhone. On the downside, the full license to use BiteSMS costs $8.99, but you can use ad-supported version for free.
Which tweak would you rather use, BiteSMS or ImmediateSend? Is there another quick reply tweak you prefer? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
