Last week iH8Sn0w and Winocm released a Cydia package by the name of P0sixpwn that allowed A4 devices to be Jailbroken Untethered from iOS 6.1.3 to 6.1.5. The only kicker was that it required you to be pre-Jailbroken utilizing software like RedSn0w or Sn0wbreeze. It was also incompatible with newer devices with an A5 chip and above.
Today, however, P0sixpwn has been made into an official tool and allows you to Jailbreak the iOS 6.1.3, 6.1.5 and 6.1.5 firmware Untethered on all iOS Devices. This means if you purposely stuck on one of the latest 6.1.x firmwares because you either dislike the aesthetics of for performance reasons you will now finally be able to Jailbreak.
P0sixpwn is compatible with both Windows and Mac OSX and was developed by Winocm, iH8Sn0w, SquiffyPwn, Planetbeing and Pimskeks.

Update #1: It looks like the Winocm and iH8Sn0w could have burned a potential future Jailbreak exploit in their release of P0sixpwn according to a recent tweet from Pod2G.
Nice! @winocm and @iH8sn0w burnt a highly valuable root exploit that would have worked for future iOS versions for a stupid 6.1.5 jailbreak.

And there goes one of the Evad3r devs bitch, whine, and complaining about the success of a smaller group creating a jailbreak for those less fortunate and can’t upgrade their devices… I’m actually glad they did what they did. Users stuck with the iPod Touch 4G or 3GS and have no money for a newer device now have a permanent jailbreak regardless of how many times they restore. Well done. Who’s not to say this “Highly valuable exploit” won’t be patched in the next iOS version. Boo hoo I didn’t get to make a 6.1.3-5 jailbreak like they did I should be credited too :(. Grow up…

They developers made a mistake as it will NOT run in Lion (10.7) It will however run in both Mountain Lion (10.8) as well as Mavericks (10.9). I wish they would make a more backward compatible version!!!!

The developers made a major mistake when they listed the p0sixpwn application as being compatible with 10.7 Lion. It is NOT! It will NOT launch in Lion at all. It will launch and run correctly in OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) as well as OS X 10.9 (Mavericks). I wish the Dev Team that released it would release a version that would run in Lion or Snow Leopard for those who are still using these versions of OS X!

iCorperatio or conglomerate or whatever it wants to call itself need to allow their users more freedom. From my perspective it only incourages a feeling of distrust from the top to the owner of a product. I always wanted to know why you couldn’t take music that was on your nano or ipood (that’s not an insult i just prefer saying it this way) right onto your new computers itunes. why is that impossable. you can transfer all music from itunes onto idevice but not the other way. These products are on the ‘arm and a leg’ budget too. if they are so expensive then they should be able to do significantly more than your average device yet they are restricted. Explain the restricions ipersons!
