Famous jailbreaker iH8sn0w recently confirmed in a Reddit thread that an iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak is most likely coming in the near future. After plenty of teasing, we were still not sure if an iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak will get a public release. It looks like it will happen, but there’s no exact time frame. An iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak could be released to the public once Apple releases the final version of iOS 8.
In a recent Ask me Anything Reddit thread started by iH8sn0w, a certain user asked if there will be a jailbreak for iOS 7.1.1 in the near future. To that the hacker replied, ‘most likely.’
Now that doesn’t give us a time frame, but it does confirm that there will be a public iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak. iOS hackers Winocm and I0n1c have already teased us with pictures and video(s) of an iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak. The only thing that remains now is a public release.
I0n1c also managed to jailbreak iOS 8 beta 1, which Apple seeded some days back. He had previously stated that he wouldn’t be releasing any jailbreak. iH8sn0w and others could use current exploits that made an iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak possible and release a public tool. We just don’t know when, but we’re hoping it’s soon.
Apple will probably release iOS 8 to the public in September, which means we could get a jailbreak during around that time.

There will always be a newer Ios coming out..who cares. Release Jailbreaks for 7.1.1 now and we’ll all worry about ios 8 and 9 and 10 when that day comes. Why forgo today, for a tomorrow that may never be here for any of us. Everyone’s just talking and teasing..piracy has become pathetic.

Because releasing a jalibreak using vulnerabilities that aren’t patched yet would be stupid. As of now iOS 8 can be jailbroken using the same vulnerabilities as 7.1.1 so no point in wasting those and having to find more. And piracy has nothing to do with it. Seems like thats the only thing you want to jailbreak for

Agreed. Between iOS including the features I used to Jailbreak for and the difficulty in actually getting a new JB in the wild, the whole jailbreaking community has sort of become sad.
