Have you been wanting to get your desperatly needed Emoji icons on your iPhone, iPod Touch or even iPad? With the release of the iOS4 firmware, Emoji icons seemed to disapear. However a new day and a new app in the app store that will enable Emoji icons on your iDevice running the iOS4 firmware…
As I said above enabling Emoji icons is a very simple task now that an app (well more of a tweak) has been developed to fix this issue on the iOS4 firmware. Follow the instructions below to enable Emoji icons on the iOS4 firmware.
Enabling Emoji Icons on the iOS4 firmware
Step 1) – The first thing you are going to need to do is install an app from the App Store called Emoji Free. You can get this app for free app by clicking here!
Step 2) – Once you have downloaded and installed Emoji Free, click the app icon on your springboard and click the “Ok, lets do this button”.
Step 3) – Once you have clicked the button, close the app and go into Settings > General > Keyboard > International Keyboard > Add New Keyboard > Emoji. This is what will enable Emoji icons on the iOS4 firmware. When you have added the Emoji icon keyboard you will need to restart your iDevice (turn it off and on) for the Emoji icons to take place.
Once you have restarted your iDevice you will now see Emoji Icons enabled on your keyboard. To actually bring up the emoji keyboard, launch your Notes app on your springboard and tap the little “globe” icon next to the space key. This will bring you to a list of Emoji icons that you can send in emails, IM, notes etc… What are your thoughts on enabling Emoji icons on the iOS4 firmware. Did this tweak work for you?

I am on t-mobile and running ios4 unlocked. I can send emotions by text to other t-mobile users, but if I try to send to a AT&T user it says “Free Msg: Unable to send message to phone number. Please try again without a symbol in the text.”
What can I do to get this to work?

I am having the exact same problem. I can send emoji to other T-Mobile users but not to AT&T.
