I have a confession to make: I miss Swype.
This is going to come as a shock, readers. Before I purchased my first iPhone, (I am hanging from a limb here, praying Steve Jobs will not haunt me the rest of my life) I owned an Android for my first smartphone. Android mobile phone or tablet users, you have in your possession one of the best technologies every conceived by man: Swype.
Swype is extremely easy to use, and almost completely eliminates the need to peck out every letter you want to use when typing. I will admit, there is a bit of a learning curve to picking up Swype. For starters you need to get use to sliding your finger across the screen to spell. There are also little, but simple different variations of sliding your finger to get the results you want. Swype, as a program, has provided for several tweaks you might need to make in the settings, which allow for better accuracy and less frustration when you try to spell.
Whether you are new to Swype or a Pro, I suggest you swing over to www.swype.com and check out the tips section. They offer great tutorials for beginners and advanced users alike, and all the instructions come with pictures. The site also has a great video tutorial section. In the future, Swype will be great for both Android and Apple products. Swype created a great product that works and provides excellent support. If you feel a little lost getting to know Swype, or get just want to learn how to better your Swyping-ninja skills, head over to the official tips section at Swype.com.
