In the rush to upgrade to Mountain Lion today, many people might forget that some of their apps won’t be compatible yet. If you have a hefty software library on your Mac, it would be a good idea to check this handy chartĀ from RoaringApps. It will let you know which of your apps will work on Mountain Lion, and which ones are still in need of an update. They haven’t tested everything yet, but they’ve tested a lot of the major ones, and their list is sure to grow as they continue testing.
So far, the list of incompatible apps is pretty small, as most software seems to be making the jump just fine. Undoubtedly they’ll uncover more broken apps as then continue to work their way through the tests. It’s looking good so far though, as there’s already a long list of perfectly compatible apps.
Be advised that, at least in our testing, their table has some problems with displaying only compatible or only incompatible apps. You might have to go through the list manually and find all the entries that are relevant to you.
