Only a little while ago we told you about the 3G Unrestrictor 5 Cydia tweak that was recently released into Cydia to grant you the ability to use WiFi-only functionality over a 3G network. An interesting side-note that we did not emphasize, however, is that there is compatibility with the iPhone 4S and iPad 2. The last time I checked the A5 Untethered Jailbreak was still in development. So how is the 3G Unrestrictor 5 Cydia tweak compatible with the iPhone 4S and iPad 2?
Obviously there is a couple of reasons why this could be (only one of which I am sure you want to hear). The first reason could be simply that the developer of 3G Unrestrictor 5 was thinking ahead and thought he might as well mention his tweak is compatible with the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 to attract more sales. The second reason that this compatibility note could be there is because the developer of 3G Unrestrictor 5 has gotten access to the A5 Untethered Jailbreak. If this scenario is the case then it could mean the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 Untethered Jailbreak is nearing completion!
Take this little tid-bit of information as you will, but it is definitely interesting that one would go out of their way to list compatibility with iOS device’s not yet publicly Jailbroken. Please leave your thoughts about this discovery in the comments section below…
