FolderBlur is a new tweak that has touched down on Hashbang Productions’ beta repository that will blur your iOS device’s homescreen wallpaper whenever a folder is opened. That is really all there is to this tweak. There is no settings to configure upon installing the tweak and of course no icons will be added to your homescreen. You literally just install the tweak and you are good to go.
You might be wondering why would you want to blur the homescreen wallpaper when you open the folder? Well although it makes the folder a little bit easier to focus on, it really just comes down to personal preference and making your device unique. If you like the idea of having your homescreen wallpaper blur whenever you open a folder then you will want to take FolderBlur for a spin.
All you have to do to install FolderBlur is add the Hashbang Productions’ beta repository to your Cydia Sources list. To do this launch Cydia, tap the Manage tab, followed by the Sources section and then the Edit and Add button. You will then need to enter the following URL:
http://cydia.hbang.ws
This particular repo and more were recently detailed in the list of top 12 Cydia sources for 2013. Let us know what you think of FolderBlur in the comments section.
