We have talked about the SARA Siri clone numerous times in the past here on iJailbreak.com. In case you have not heard of the SARA Siri clone however, it is one of the best Siri clones for all Jailbroken iOS devices that does not rely on an external proxy server. Like all Siri clones there are some flaws with SARA, such as poor spelling/grammar on responses, but SARA is constantly being updated and is getting better day-by-day.
Although it is without a doubt that SARA is lacking in areas, what is nice about SARA is the extended functionality it brings to the table. You can, for example, find places anywhere around the world, control your computer, send messages, translate words, update social media accounts like Facebook/Twitter and so much more all with the power of your voice.
For those of you who are a little bit more daring than some you will be excited to find out the official SARA software development kit (SDK) was released into Cydia. Alongside the SARA SDK a detailed documentation has also been released to allow the public to easily create their own SARA plugins. This will allow people to create custom conversations with SARA and so much more!
If you are interested in developing your own SARA plugins then you will simply need to add the official SARA source by launching Cydia, going into the Manage Tab, then the Sources Section, clicking the Edit button and then the Add button. From here you will need to add the following source:
http://isoftjsc.com
With the source above added into Cydia you will need to search for SARA SDK through Cydia’s Search tab and install it to your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. When SARA SDK has been installed you will need to reboot your iOS device and download the documentation package by clicking here. With the documentation package downloaded simply follow the instructions presented to you for creating your own SARA plugins.
Please leave any questions you may have about creating SARA plugins in the comments section below…
