Today an exciting tweak hit Cydia called NativeQR. The tweak allows you to read QR codes right from the stock Camera app on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. With QR codes being all around us nowadays on TV, billboards and magazines it makes sense just to have the functionality in the stock Camera app rather than having to download one from the App Store.
With NativeQR install you simply launch the Camera app, tap the options button and you will see a new QR code toggle. Enable the toggle, find a QR code and you will be automatically asked if you want to navigate to the specific URL when the code has been successfully processed.
NativeQR doesn’t stop just there though. It allows adds new functionality to the Contacts app; allowing you to share a contacts phone number by generating a unique QR code on the spot as you can see here. This means you can say goodbye to actuating telling someone your phone number or risking typing it in wrong.
There is no Settings for the tweak and you can find NativeQR on the BigBoss repo for a price of $1.99. Be sure to check out the video review of the tweak and leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
