Wouldn’t it be great if you could send multiple filetypes through iMessage on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad? Well, thanks to two new Cydia tweaks released into Cydia today you can do just this! Yep, that’s right, the ability to send files over iMessage from the iOS filesystem, iFile and Dropbox is now a reality thanks to SendAny and ReceiveAny.
The SendAny Cydia tweak will actually allow you to send files through iMessage. As mentioned before this includes being able to browse through your iOS filesystem, iFile and Dropbox for essentially any filetype (including DRM-free music via the Music.app) to send to another iOS device.
The catch is the receiving iOS device needs to have the ReceiveAny Cydia tweak installed to receive the normally unsupported files you are sending. You can of course also send files to the latest Messages beta on your Mac OS X Computer.
If you are interested in being able to send and receive any file through iMessage you will need to first purchase the SendAny tweak for a price of $2.99 from the BigBoss repo. Once you have installed SendAny on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad you will need to also install the ReceiveAny Cydia tweak, which is FREE so you can receive files. Now simply find someone else with a Jailbroken iOS device or Mac OS X computer with Messages beta and you can enjoy sending them files.
