Did you ever come across a website whose source you wanted to view, but couldn’t because you can’t on the Safari iOS app? Well, now there’s a new tweak that adds this little option to the Safari browser on your Apple iPad. Sorry iPhone and iPod Touch users, this tweak isn’t compatible on anything other than the iPad.
View Source for Safari is a new Cydia tweak for jailbroken iOS devices, which adds a view source option to a webpage in the mobile Safari app. Once the tweak is installed, a new button will appear next to the Bookmark manager. Tapping on the button will bring up a pop-up with the options, ‘View Source’ and ‘Details’. Tap the View Source button to see the source of the webpage. It is no doubt that web developers may find this tweak very useful.
Apart from the View Source option, you also get a Print option, which lets you print the source code directly via a connected printer. There is no options to be configured, this is just a simple and useful tweak. View Source for Safari is available in the BigBoss repo for free. Try it out!
