Would you like to play classic Nintendo DS games on your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch? If yes, there’s a new Nintendo DS emulator for your iOS device that lets you play popular Nintendo DS titles and it doesn’t require your device to be jailbroken. Remember GBA4iOS, the GameBoy Advance emulator? NDS4iOS is very similar and is now available for download via OTA.
Last year, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said in a statement that Nintendo DS games will probably never make it to iOS devices. Hence, if you’ve been looking to enjoy some classic Nintendo titles on your iOS device, this is your best bet.
NDS4iOS features DropBox sync, support for iOS 7 controllers and provides good frame rates. You can also run it in both landscape and portrait orientation with onscreen control buttons. The emulator has a lot of options that can be found in the Settings. To install NDS4iOS on your iOS device, follow the instructions below:
- From your iOS device visit this website and download the NDS4iOS Stable OTA.
- While you’re downloading change the date on your iOS device to February 8, 2014.
- Once it’s installed you can change to the current date and time.
You’ll need an iOS device, preferably one with an A5 or higher chip, with iOS 5.1.1 or later to run this Nintendo DS emulator without any problems. Time to play some Pokemon!
If you have any problems with saving your games, follow the instructions on the emulators official website. What do you think of this emulator? Try it out and let us know.
