There are so many custom ROMs released every week that it’s hard to label a single one as the best. A new ROM has been released for the Verizon Galaxy S3 SCH-i535, which goes by the name of CleanROM 5.0. As its name suggests, it brings clean features and is based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean build VRBLJ1. There’s an AROMA installer included, battery optimizations, boot animations and zip align on boot is also included.
Before proceeding to the instructions you should note that this guide is only applicable on the Verizon Galaxy S3 model number SCH-i535 This ROM may damage other models like Sprint and AT&T if applied on them. Charge the battery of the device properly, as the process is a long one. Your device should have an unlocked bootloader with custom recovery (ClockworkMod or TWRP) installed. Make sure you’re using a Windows PC and remember to create a backup (cloud or on the computer) of any important files on your device. Disable anti-virus software on your computer, as it could block important files from being installed. Please note that you are following this tutorial at your own risk.
