Yesterday we told you that developer @NotCom released a new tool called TinyCFW. This tool is an experimental tool that NotCom developed for a friend who wanted to downgrade his iPad 2 from the iOS 5.0 firmware to the iOS 4.3.3 firmware. The reason someone would want to downgrade from the iOS 5.0 firmware to the iOS 4.3.3 firmware is because they want an untethered jailbreak. If you are looking for an iOS 4.3.3 downgrading solution then at this time TinyCFW is your best bet.
If you are thinking about using TinyCFW ensure you meet the following requirements before you move on:
- TinyCFW Supports: iPhone 4 or iPad 2 with saved SHSH blobs for the iOS 4.3.3 firmware (no exceptions).
- TinyCFW Requires: At least 2.5GB of RAM and Java to be installed (works on Mac OS X and Windows).
In this how to guide form iJailbreak you will learn how to downgrade your iPhone 4 or iPad 2 from the iOS 5.0/iOS 5.0.1 firmware to the iOS 4.3.3 firmware for an Untethered Jailbreak on the Mac OS X and Windows operating system.
How To Use TinyCFW Mac OS X/Windows
Step 1) The first thing you need to do is download TinyCFW to your computer from the download mirror below:
Download TinyCFW (Mac OS X/Windows)
Additionally you will need to download the iPad 2 or iPhone 4 iOS 4.3.3 firmware file. Go to the iJailbreak Downloads Section to download this now.
Step 2) After you have downloaded TinyCFW you will simply need to double click the tinycfw-0.1.jar shortcut.
Note: If TinyCFW does not launch you will need to rename the shortcut to tinycfw.jar for it to work.
Step 3) With TinyCFW up and running you will need to click the Choose Current IPSW button and select the iOS 4.3.3 firmware file for the iPad 2 or iPhone 4.
Step 4) TinyCFW will now tell you information specific to that firmware version. Click the Save Target IPSW button to continue.
Step 5) Within the next two minutes you will get a new firmware file that will appear in the directory where TinyCFW was launched from with the extension .bbupdate.ipsw.
Step 6) Download the latest version of TinyUmbrella to your computer from the iJailbreak Downloads Section.
Step 7) Launch TinyUmbrella and click the Start TSS Server button.
Step 8) Finally launch iTunes, hold down the option button on your keyboard and then click the Restore button. Select the custom firmware file you created and wait for iTunes to do its magic.
Note: If the restore process does not work trying putting your iPad 2 or iPhone 4 into DFU mode.
Congratulations! You have just downgraded your iPad 2 or iPhone 4 to the iOS 4.3.3 firmware for an untethered jailbreak with Jailbreakme.com. For more How To guides like the one you just followed please click here. Additionally, please leave any questions or thoughts in the comments section below.

Hi all, if you follow this procedure, you must be have SHSH 4.3.3 previous (saved by tiny umbrella if iFaith can not). i was try my iPad2 GSM can not.
if you want to create iPad2,2_4.3.3_8J2_Restore.bbupdate.ipsw in windows can t but in Mac is OK ( you can use VMware and run Mac OS or Mac Book but in this case you need to rename tinycfw-0.1.jar to tinycfw.jar ).
If you lazy create iPad2,2_4.3.3_8J2_Restore.bbupdate.ipsw just go to google and search .bbupdate.ipsw and download :)
