With Apple now having more iPad models than you can shake a stick at things can get pretty confusing. The current iPad lineup now includes the iPad Air, iPad 2, iPad Mini and iPad Mini with Retina display.
The iPad 2 is meant to be the “budget” 9.7-inch iPad or sorts and comes with modest specs, a non-Retina display, but still the ability to run iOS 7. Where the iPad Mini is the cheapest of all the iPad models offered and just like the iPad 2 it comes with a non-Retina display. Then of course you have the new iPad offerings which include the iPad Air (otherwise known as iPad 5) and iPad Mini 2 with Retina display.
So just how do these iPads compare in terms of specs?
Check out the comparison chart below that pits all the current iPad models against each other.
One surprising thing to take away from this chart is that the iPad Mini 2 with Retina display actually has the same exact specs as the iPad Air. Out of all the iPad Models which one would you tend to gravitate towards?

Why does it compare the iPad 2? Why not the iPad 3 (The “New iPad” with its retina display)? You know… THE ONE THAT JUST GOT REPLACED???? Who cares about the older iPad 2 here? Aside from screen resolution, it does not belong.
Also… Same screen resolution on the new Retina iPad Mini as on the Retina iPad, so I’m going with the iPad Mini for $100 less or more.

Steve, you’re a dummie. The configs being compared are of those models that are PRESENTLY available for purchase. Neither the 3rd, nor the 4th generation iPad is. Now, say you’re sorry!
