Well folks the time has finally arrived… the moment we have all been desperately waiting for. Comex has managed to polish off JailbreakMe 3.0 before Apple had the chance to release iOS 4.3.4 to patch the latest PDF exploit Comex has spent the last 10 months developing. It has been a bumpy ride getting to this point, but regardless JailbreakMe 3.0 is now live and awaiting you.
In case you were not aware JailbreakMe 3.0 is a Userland Jailbreak. Meaning you will not need to download a jailbreaking tool like RedSn0w in order to jailbreak your iDevice. You simply must point your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to http://www.jailbreakme.com/ and your iDevice will be automatically jailbroken. Also, in case you were wondering, JailbreakMe 3.0 supports most iDevices running up to the iOS 4.3.3 firmware; even the iPad 2!
The Dev-Team wrote an official statement regarding JailbreakMe 3.0. Additionally here is the official list of supported iDevices and firmwares:
- iPad 1: iOS 4.3 through 4.3.3
- iPad 2: iOS 4.3.3
- iPhone 3GS: iOS 4.3 through 4.3.3
- iPhone 4: iOS 4.3 through 4.3.3
- iPhone 4 – CDMA: iOS 4.2.6 through 4.2.8
- iPod touch 3G: iOS 4.3, 4.3.2, 4.3.3
- iPod touch 4G: iOS 4.3 through 4.3.3

Note: We are still not sure what is going on with the domain JailbreakMe.com. As we reported earlier the domain name is still on auction. We will keep you guys updated when more information is available.
Note #2: As reported earlier Comex will be updating JailbreakMe 3.0 to support older iDevices and older firmware versions in the near future.

Why was I able to JB my Ipad 2 wifi/3G while still on 4.3?
Comex is adding support for more iDevices as we speak. At the initial release those were the only iDevices supported, however.
what I’m saying is I actually was able to usd Jailbreakme 3.0 to jailbreak my Ipad 2 on 4.3. I know @Comex said that 3.0 will only support 4.3.3, but I’m on 4.3 and have Cydia on my Ipad 2. Will I have any problems because of this?
