The Evad3rs (consisting mainly of Pod2g, Planetbeing, Musclenerd and Pimskeks) presented at this years Hack In The Box conference 2013 to share how they utilized a ton of vulnerabilities in iOS to create the Untethered iOS 6.x Jailbreak that lasted up until the release of iOS 6.1.3. Evasi0n was the most successful Jailbreak to date with over 7 million downloads in just 5 days. Since its release Evasi0n was used to Jailbreak 18.2 million iOS devices according to data given by Jay Freeman (Saurik).
For those of you who couldn’t make it to the Hack In The Box 2013 (which is probably most of us) you will be glad to know the slides to the Evad3rs presentation titled “Swiping Through Modern Security Features” is now available to download. The video of their presentation will also likely be available, shortly, but in the mean time you can read through the presentation and learn about all the technical details behind how the Evad3rs actually created Evasi0n.
It is a very technical presentation, so if you are no very tech savvy then I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time on it, but for those that want to check it out you can download it by clicking here.

I have a love hate relationship with the build up of the next iPhone. I held back on the 5 because of lack in wow factor. I’m really hoping apple will produce something good or I will go with the galaxy s4, that would be a shame because I love the jailbreaking community having been apart of it since the iPhone 3G.
