Since the iOS 7.1 beta 4 firmware was released one question that has been on everyone’s mind is has the Evasi0n7 Jailbreak been patched. Up until this point things have been pretty quite, but yesterday iH8Sn0w, developer of p0sixspwn, gave some news out on Twitter which will come as a disappointment.
Reportedly, iOS 7 beta 4 indeed patches some vulnerabilities that were used by Evasi0n7 to jailbreak iOS 7.1 beta 3.
So the code sign bug that evasi0n7 uses still exists in 7.1b4. Kernel exploit looks patched though :P

@winocm Also, afc was spawned without the sandbox and modded the rootfs. So… yeah. Code sign bug definitely still exists :P

.@riznare meaning… Don’t expect an evasi0n7 update for 7.1b4+ support.

The Evad3rs have stated that they will not be commenting on whether or not vulnerabilities have been patched as there is no advantage to it. If anything it just helps Apple know that they have done their job. With this news from iH8Sn0w, however, it is clear that there would be a lot of work required to update Evasi0n7 to support Jailbreaking the iOS 7.1 firmware.
To all the newer JBers: we rarely comment on whether exploits are closed in betas. There’s no advantage..if anything, it just helps *Apple*

Especially since Apple still has a chance to patch more in new betas, and iOS 7.1 has been expected to have 6 beta releases (meaning two more are coming). The bottom line is we will have to wait until the official iOS 7.1 firmware is released before we will have official word from the Evad3rs.
