Apple released the iOS 6 firmware earlier today and the number one question on a lot of people’s minds is can it be Jailbroken? Well, the answer to this question is most certainly yes. I have just Jailbroken my iPhone 4 tethered on the official iOS 6 firmware, installed Cydia and also installed a Cydia package – iFile.
Just how did I go about doing this? Well, I am currently writing an in-depth guide which will be posted within the next hour, but essentially the process consists of using the previous dev version of RedSn0w to Jailbreak your device, and then manually installing an unofficial build of Cydia.
It is important to keep in mind however, that things are very buggy once you are Jailbroken on iOS 6 with Cydia installed. This becomes even more the case when you begin installing packages. I would strongly suggest waiting for the iPhone Dev-Team to release a stable Jailbreak that includes an official build of Cydia, but if you can’t wait then there is nothing holding you back.
Remember… within the hour a guide will be available, and I will update this article. Keep your eyes on iJailbreak.
